overage lesson

ok here is how overage works:

I went to walgreens and I purchased
$2.19 1 garnier fructis treatment conditioner thing (clearanced)
$2.19 1 garnier fructis melting conditioner (clearanced)
$4.00 1 quilted northern TP
$2.50 1 gallon of milk
______
$10.88
.46 tax
______
$11.34
-1. Garnier MFG Q
-1. Garnier MFG Q
-4. walgreens Q for Garnier
_____
$5.34 total

the overage comes in because the coupons for the Garnier totaled $6 in savings but the actual cost of the items was only $4.38. That makes $1.62 in overage which applies to other items that you bought. The store still gets the full face value of the coupon. Win Win!

My total savings today was 11.08 because of the TP being on sale, the milk being on sale, the conditioner being on clearance and the coupons.
